Excellent service

I recently purchased a new home, and like anyone in that situation, I was excited to furnish it with quality pieces that matched both my taste and budget. Unfortunately, my experience with Ashley East in Winnipeg has been disappointing and frustrating. Over the course of about five visits to the store, my wife, daughter, and I explored several options, especially looking for living room sets, beds, nightstands, and more. During our very first visit, we were interested in a particular living room set. I specifically asked the salesperson if the coffee table was included in the price, and I was told yes. I also asked if there was a lighter color available, and was told no—only the dark color was in stock. Since we were looking for something lighter, we decided to keep searching. Eventually, after purchasing some furniture for the rec room at Leon’s for $1,700, I remembered that Ashley had that dark-colored set we liked, which would actually be perfect for the basement. I went back to Ashley and asked if there were any discounts. After a few questions about whether I would pick up the furniture myself, the salesperson returned and said the price would be $1,619. I didn’t ask again whether the table was included because I had already been told before that it was. The furniture was delivered today — but the table was missing. When I called the store, the salesperson told me the table was not included, and that it costs an additional $400. This means the “discounted” price I was given was not a discount at all — it simply excluded a piece I had been led to believe was part of the set. To make things worse, I was told that the person who initially told me the table was included no longer works there. Frankly, that is not my concern. Ashley is a company with policies and standards, not a marketplace where each salesperson makes up their own terms. I feel misled, taken advantage of, and frankly, cheated. I’ve been calling to request the furniture be picked up and returned, as I no longer want it. However, I have not been able to speak with the salesperson again. I understand there is a 48-hour return window, and I’m trying to act within that time frame, but I’m being ignored. This has been a very frustrating experience. I expected more from a well-known furniture store. I hope this review helps others make more informed decisions.

Place is nice and have a good selection of stuff. The staff is nice and are good at selling, they were nice for a while. I don’t like to be followed around when looking and buying for something, although I get it’s their job. The thing that I didn’t like at all at the end of my purchase ( I got a bed frame plus a mattress), is that as soon as they close the sale, the seller didn’t care anymore, she was such in a rush for me to sign and leave, she wanted to just cover what she wanted to say and wouldn’t let me ask or even listen to what I had to say. Is like, “ok you bought it, now leave”, I literally wanted to look for more stuff since I’m refurnishing my bedroom and wanted to buy more furniture and wanted to ask for recommendations to add to my purchase. She was too desperate to make me buy with their credit, which I told her many times that I wanted to pay all at once because I don’t need it , but I was a seller once so I wanted to be nice and accepted her credit thing. Even then that I did something that I didn’t need at all, she took it for granted and after that her nice customer service was over. But I guess she was happy with her sell that forgot about the service and felt such a rush that I just left, literally she didn’t even listen to my questions and continued reading her papers . Currently looking to other places to buy more furniture, but yeah, not good that as soon as they are done with their sale they just want to kick you out, they lost a customer that way for me. Hopefully my bed arrives in good shape, if not I wouldn’t even hesitate on cancel the whole thing and look another place.

Great experience buying my couch today. Have not bought a couch in many years. Some great options which I love. Jazz was fantastic. Explained everything so well. Thank you. I’ll be back!!!
